GiveBig 2018 is almost here

This year, PSRS will further invest in the people we support and our staff by providing agency vehicles.  We want those we support to be able to fully take advantage of the opportunities in their communities, and for our staff to not have to worry about using their personal vehicles.  We know this will have a long lasting and positive impact.  PSRS will be reaching out to our generous supporters during GiveBig and beyond to ask for help in making this critical investment.  Be on the look out for more information in your inbox, and in your mailbox!

Thank You & Happy Holidays!

We have the most awesome supporters!  PSRS exceeded our Giving Tuesday and end of year fundraising goal of $6000!  Many thanks to over 30 special donors who stepped up to make a big impact and close out 2017 strong for PSRS!

Every one of the nearly 70 people we support received a special holiday gift this year because of our supporters – we can’t thank you enough but we can repay you in smiles!

PSRS wishes you all the best this holiday season and a Happy New Year!

PSRS is proud to be PEMCO’s selected non profit of the month for September!  PEMCO employees from across all of their locations voted to support PSRS which means we receive individual donations as well as a generous matching contribution from PEMCO.  Special thank you to John Connally, Product Development Manager and awesome PSRS Board Member, who nominated and championed our organization.

PSRS would also like to extend our appreciation to Michelle and Shar at PEMCO’s Seattle office for their time, and for giving us the opportunity to come talk to the great PEMCO employees about the work we do.  Not only did we get to meet some of the fine PEMCO folks, we also received more donations!  THANK YOU PEMCO for making PSRS your September non profit of the month and for your amazing support!

You can support PSRS and PEMCO.  Visit PEMCO’s blog, Facebook page, and thank them on Twitter

It’s PSRS Appreciation Day June 1st!

Come celebrate the first annual PSRS Appreciation Day and show your appreciation for PSRS, the individuals we support, and our amazing staff.

WHEN: Wednesday, June 1st | 1:00pm-4:00pm

WHERE: PSRS Office – 149 Park Ave N. | Renton, WA  | 98057

Do you know what the following all have in common?

  • Established headquarters, and contributor to the Renton  community since 1985
  • Employer of nearly 230 people
  • Over 400,000 hours of services provided per year
  • Over 35,000 miles per month of transportation provided

The answer is Puget Sound Regional Services (PSRS). It all started in 1983 with a desire to support two Deaf-Blind individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilled lives outside of institution walls, coupled with a passionate belief that people with disabilities should be connected to, and participate fully in their communities. And not just living in their own homes, but engaged in activities that generate satisfaction and contribute positively to society. Incorporated as a 501c3 non-profit in June 1985, PSRS today brings over 30 years of community support experience to nearly 65 individuals living in their own homes throughout King County from Queen Anne to Covington.

And it was just a few months ago that Renton City Mayor Denis Law issued a Proclamation declaring June 1st to be PSRS Appreciation Day. PSRS is proud to be recognized, and is invested in promoting and supporting diversity, education, and inclusion for all in the Renton community and beyond.

We’d love to see you.  Stop by the office, say hi, and join us for some treats. You can also support PSRS by considering a donation here.

You Gave BIG!

The Seattle Foundation’s GiveBIG event on May 3rd (extended a full day to May 4th due to technical issues) was awesome!  Thanks to our donors, we raised $5,120 before stretch funds and employer matches are applied! We are very thankful to our current, and first time donors.  Your support is so meaningful.

And this comes just in time for the 1st Annual PSRS Appreciation Day, as declared in a Proclamation by Renton City Mayor Denis Law earlier this year.  June 1st is our 31st Anniversary as a supported living non-profit organization (founded in 1983, incorporated in June 1985).  We feel very appreciated thanks to all of you!  More information to follow.

Get Ready for GiveBIG!

Mark your calendar for May 3rd, GiveBIG is just around the corner.

What is GiveBIG? The Seattle Foundation’s one-day, online charitable giving event to inspire people to give generously to nonprofit organizations who make our region a healthier and more vital place to live.

Why should I give?  PSRS needs your support!  We are passionate about helping individuals to have meaningful experiences and live successfully in the community.  Access to recreational activities and home maintenance that  promote well being and inclusion is often limited as most of our clients simply cannot afford expenses beyond their basic needs.  You can make a difference.

Your gift is matched! That means more money goes to PSRS so we can keep     doing what matters.  Learn more at and Give Big to PSRS on May 3rd.  OR give in advance – you can schedule your online donation now!
